BGB man injured by smugglers in Naogaon

A member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was injured in an attack by a gang of smugglers at Dhamoirhat Upazila in Naogaon district on Friday night. The injured was identified as Nesar Uddin, 20, member of Patnitala BGB Battalion-46. Lieutenant Colonel Rafiqul Hasan, commander of Patnitala BGB Battalion-46, said being tipped off, a patrol team of BGB challenged a gang of smugglers as they were entering the country from India through Baztabar Border Point around 9:00pm. Challenged, the gangsters attacked the BGB team members with sharp weapons leaving Nesar Uddin critically injured. The injured was admitted to Najipur BGB Hospital, according to UNB.
