BGB man stabbed by smugglers

JESSORE, May 27: A Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) member, amongĀ  15 people, was wounded as smugglers clashed with BGB men over recovery of Phensidyl at Muchipara of Baroanchra under Benapole port thana.
The clash erupted while BGB men were recovering 176 bottles of Phensidyl from the smugglers possession.
Lt Col Matiur Rahman, director of 26 BGB battalion, said that Lance Nayek Saran Chandra was attacked by the smugglers with sharp weapons while two BGB men were coming towards the BGB camp. The wounded BGB personnel was rushed to a private clinic and given four stitches in the forehead, the BGB director added.
