BGB nab Nigerian citizen, rescue 15 BD nationals on Benapole border

BENAPOLE, Nov 19 (UNB): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drives detained a Nigerian citizen and rescued 15 Bangladeshi nationals from Putkhali border on Monday morning.
Major Sohel Ahmmed, additional commanding officer of BGB-21 battalion, said on information, a team of BGB conducted a drive along the border and arrested Nigerian citizen Ekochiko Sidney, 45, and rescued 15 Bangadeshi nationals when they were being trafficked to India.
The rescued nationals hailed from Khulna, Gopalganj, Barishal and Narail districts.
