BGB, Police earn 2nd consecutive win

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Police Handball Club earned their second consecutive victories in the MA Hamid Independence Day Handball (Men's & Women's) Tournament beating their rivals at Shaheed Capt (retd) M Mansur Ali Handball Stadium in the city on Sunday, reports UNB.
The BGB men's team, which made a flying start outplaying Quantum Foundation 36-20 goals in the opening match on Saturday, beat Bangladesh Ansar by 40-20 goals in their 2nd match after leading the first half by 17-9 goals.
In the day's other men's match, Police Handball Club piled up the second successive win defeating all-losers Quantum Foundation by 34-29 goals (first half 17-14) after beating Bangladesh Ansar by 25-20 goals in the first match, also on Saturday.
In the women's group, BJMC and Bangladesh Ansar maintained their all-win record beating their rivals on the second day at the same venue.
BJMC beat Police Handball Club by 27-13 goals (first half 17-5) while Bangladesh Ansar crushed Quantum Foundation by 46-6 goals (first half 22-2).
In the day's other women's competition, Police Handball Club beat Jamalpur Sports Academy by 24-19 goals (first half 10-8).
Earlier on Saturday, BJMC outplayed Quantum Foundation by 48-10 goals (first half 28-5) and Bangladesh Ansar defeated Jamalpur Sports Academy by 33-15 goals (first half 15-10).
