BGB seize 0.3m Yaba tablets in Teknaf

COX'S BAZAR, Feb 2 (UNB): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 0.3 million pieces of contraband Yaba from Mundar Deil Sea Beach here early Friday.
A BGB patrol team conducted a drive in the area around 2:30am, said Lt Col SM Ariful Islam of Teknaf BGB-2 battalion.
However, there was no arrest as the smugglers fled the scene, the BGB official said.Meanwhile, police arrested an examinee of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination along with 30 pieces of Yaba tablets from Nachole bus stand in Chapainawabganj on Thursday night.
Tipped-off, police conducted a drive around 8:00pm and arrested SSC examinee Rony Ahmmed, 15, son of Poura Awami League leader Anarul Islam, along with the Yaba pills, said Jubayer Ahmmed, officer-in-charge of Nachole Police Station.
Another report adds: Detective Branch of district police held a drug trader with 800 pieces of Yaba tablets from Sadar Upazila of Noakhali on Friday.
The detainee was identified as Fokruddin, 40.
DB sources said on information they conducted a raid on Rajarampur village of the Upazila morning and held the man with the Yaba tablets.
