BGB seizes contraband items in C’nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Jan 10 (BSS): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Wednesday arrested an alleged drug peddler and recovered 1.565 Kg of heroin, 1,985 Yaba tablets and 15 bottles of Phensidyl syrup from Shibganj upazila of the district.
The arrested person was identified as Md. Shahadat Hossain, 23 of Kagmari village under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district.
BGB said, acting on information, an operation team of the BGB from Sonamasjid border out post conducted a raid at Koilabari BGB Vehicle Scanner Checkpost area in Shibganj upazila and detained a motorcycle.
