BGB-smugglers clash injures 15 in Natore

At least 15 people, including a member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), were injured in a clash with smugglers in Rail Station area of the town on Monday. BGB official Major Mehdi said members of BGB 32-battalion from Kushtia conducted a drive in a Khulna-bound inter-city express train from Syedpur and seized 50 kgs of Indian cumin and sarees from the train. Fifteen people were injured when the smugglers attacked the BGB members with brick chips and sticks while the law enforcers fired gun shots at the smugglers. BGB arrested Shah Alam an alleged smuggler from the area after the incident, according to a news agency.
