BGMEA accords special reception to HAMS Garments Ltd

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) on Saturday accorded a special reception to HAMS Garments Limited for achieving the world's highest score as a green factory.
The reception was organised at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara through a joint initiative of BGMEA and HAMS Garments Limited, reports BSS.
BGMEA Senior Vice-President Inamul Haq Khan formally handed over a commemorative crest to Engineer Shafiqur Rahman, Managing Director of HAMS Garments Limited, in recognition of the company's outstanding achievement, said a press release.
Speaking on the occasion, Inamul Haq Khan said HAMS Garments Limited has set a new world record by scoring 108 out of 110 points under the USGBC LEED Platinum Certification, which is currently the highest score achieved by any green factory in the world.
BGMEA Vice-President (Finance) Mizanur Rahman, Directors Faisal Samad, A.B.M. Samsuddin, and Faruque Hassan were present at the programme, alongside Managing Director of HAMS Garments Engineer Shafiqul Rahman.
