BGMEA, BKMEA confirm paying salary, bonus ahead of Eid

Garment and knitwear factory owners on Thursday assured of letting the workers to go on vacation in phases from September 29 to October 2 to ease the nagging traffic snarl ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha and Durga Puja. They also confirmed paying salary and bonus before the vacation. The assurance came from a meeting on payment of workers salary and law and order between State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and leaders of BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association) and BKMEA (Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association) at Secretariat in Dhaka, according to a news agency.
