BHF accords reception to heroes of Men's AHF Cup winning team

Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) accorded a warm reception to the heroes of national hockey winning team of the Men's 4th AHF Cup and at the same time gave a farewell to its outgoing president and former Air Force Chief Shah M Ziaur Rahman at a reception Saturday, reports BSS.
Held at the Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) auditorium, the reception was chaired by chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Youth and Sports Ministry Zahid Ahsan Russel. He, later, handed over the crest, gifts and cash prizes to the players and officials of the national hockey team.
Newly appointed BHF President and Air Force chief Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari and General Secretary Khaja Rahmatullah were present on the occasion.
Russel hailed the national hockey team for their great success in Bangkok and hoped that this team would be able to bring the same success for the country in future.
He also thanked the present hockey committee for their relentless efforts as the committee is playing an active role is brining back hockey on the ground.
BHF president and Air Force chief Air Marshal Muhammad Enamul Bari also greeted the hockey team for bringing a rare prestige for the country by retaining the AHF Cup title.
He also expressed his gratitude to outgoing BHF president Shah M Ziaur Rahman for his contribution during his tenure for the development of country's hockey.
Bangladesh, which retained the 4th Men's AHF Cup Hockey title maintaining their unbeaten run held on April 18-24 in Bangkok this year, have been qualified for the final round of the Asia Cup to be held in Singapore next year.
