BHF announce Bangladesh squad for Asian qualifiers

The Bangladesh Hockey Federation announced the 18-member squad for the Asian Games Hockey qualifiers starting in Dhaka on May 7, reports BSS.
Rach Gerhard Peter, the German coach of the national hockey team, expressed his confidence of qualifying for the Asian Games while announce the squad at a press conference at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium Monday.
'The players are in good shape and I am preparing the team for a certain result. I hope the players will adapt to my new strategy of a lot of inter-changes,' said the German.
Rach was least bothered about the opponents and was rather concentrating on his own abilities.
'I am not bothered about the opponents, I am thinking about my own team, we will put in our best efforts to achieve the title,' said Rach.
German coach added that forward Pushkor Khisha Mimo, who is now playing in domestic competition in Germany, was allowed to skip the training camp and is expected to arrive tomorrow.
Bangladesh, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Sri Lanka and Oman will play in the competition with the champions and runners-up qualifying for the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China in November.

Goalkeepers: Zahid Hossain, Monowar Hossain Rasel; Defenders: Asaduzzaman Chandan, Mamunur Rahman Chayan, Moshiur Rahman Biplob, Imran Hossain Pintu, Moshiur Rahman Firoz; Midfielders: Shiekh Md Nannu, Kamruzzaman Rana, Golam Mostafa Manik, Mosharraf Hossain Kuti, Irfan Ahmed, Rasel Mahmud Jimmy; Forwards: Pushkor Khisha Mimo, Jamil binTalib, Maksud Alam Habul, and Krishna Kumar.
