Bhola will get industrial city, says Tofail

BHOLA, July 19 (BSS) :  Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed yesterday said that an industrial city would be set up in Bhola on a few acres of land with electricity and natural gas produced in the district.
"Those who will set up industrial units and factories in the industrial city will be provided with electricity and gas facilities.
Many people will get employment opportunities in these industrial units and factories," he said while speaking as the chief guest at an Iftar and doa mahfil organised by Sadar Upazila Parishad on its premises on Friday.
The minister said, "The 225-megawatt capacity power plant in Bhola will start producing 100 MW of electricity within November.  Even if, there is problem of electricity in the country, Bhola will not face any deficit in electricity.
Bhola will be transformed into the most developed district (in the south-eastern region) economically in the country." People from all walks of life and professionals attended the iftar and doa mahfil.
