BHRC condemns Suu Kyi's house arrest

Bangladesh Human Rights Commission (BHRC) Wednesday strongly condemned the military junta's verdict that sentenced the Myanmar democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi to another 18 months under house arrest.
In an official statement, the BHRC demanded Suu Kyi's unconditional release and also appealed to the world's leaders for holding general election in Myanmar to restore its democracy following the guidance of the United Nations.
