Bhutan reduces fees for BD tourists

Bhutan has reduced the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF) for Bangladeshi tourists to $15 from $100.
The new visa policy went into effect on June 2, 2024, according to a notification by the Department of Tourism of Bhutan on Monday.
Under the new policy, 15,000 Bangladeshi tourists can now travel to Bhutan with the reduced fee.
The SDF was originally $200 before the Covid pandemic, then it was reduced to $100.
Bhutan introduced the SDF for visitors to make an active and meaningful contribution to the kingdom's preservation and progress.
