BIA training on life insurance

Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA), in cooperation with General Insurance Corporation of India, organised a day-long training programme on 'Life Insurance' at its training centre in the city Tuesday.
A total of 34 officials from 16 life insurance companies participated in the training course, said a press release.
Mollah Md Nurul Islam, BIA secretary general, inaugurated the training programme. Faiz Ahmed, secretary, was also present on the occasion.
In his inaugural speech, Mr Islam said life insurance is an important sector of our national economy.
He expressed the hope that the training will make the participants skilled and efficient in their professional life.
Mr Islam thanked Mr Sanjoy Gupta of General Insurance Corporation of India for taking the trouble to come to Dhaka to deliver lectures on the subjects.
He also requested Mr Gupta for more co-operation in the training programme of the BIA in future.
