Bangladesh Investment Climate Fund (BICF), managed by IFC, in partnership with the UK Department for International Development and the European Union, organised a debate competition on business reforms in Bangladesh, said a press release.
The debate competition titled "Creating Opportunities for Tomorrow" featured undergraduate students from five private universities - American International University of Bangladesh, BRAC University, East West University, Independent University of Bangladesh and North South University. BRAC University because the champion.
The competition is a part of BICF's ongoing Academic Partnership Programme (APP). The APP aims to engage universities, academics and students in investment climate research and advocacy to help build sustainable centres of knowledge on these issues.
The APP is currently supporting the five universities in undertaking independent and innovative research on investment climate issues in Bangladesh, and in introducing minor concentrations on investment management within their existing curricula.
