Bicyclist crushed under train in Rajshahi

A bicyclist was killed as he was crushed under the wheels of speeding train in front of Dinghadoba Mission Road intersection in Rajshahi city on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Taiful Islam, 55, son of Erfan Ali, a resident of Court Mollapara area under Rajpara thana of the city. Family sources said the Rangpur-bound intercity commuter train hit the bicycle the man was riding while he was crossing the road in the area around 3.15pm, leaving him critically injured. Later he was rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where he died around 6pm, according to a news agency.
