Bicyclist killed in Satkhira road crash

A bicyclist was crushed under truck on the Satkhira-Khulna highway at Kumira village in Patkelghata upazila of Satkhira on Saturday evening. The deceased was identified as Abdul Jalil, 60, son of Gohor Ali Sarder, a resident of Sirashuni village of Tala upazila of the district. Tariqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Patkelghata police station, said the Khulna-bound truck hit the bicycle Jalil was riding in front of Kumira Mohila College in the evening, leaving him critically injured. Later the injured was rushed to Satkhira sadar hospital where doctors declared him dead. However police seized the truck, according to a news agency.
