BIFC posts loss for sixth straight year

Bangladesh Industrial Finance Company (BIFC), a listed company, has again reported loss for the year 2020, the sixth straight year in a row. The non-bank financial institution posted a loss of Tk 8.10 per share for the year ended on December 31, 2020 as against a loss of Tk 12.20 per share for the previous year. The company's loss, however, declined 33.60 per cent in 2020, compared to the previous year, according to a disclosure posted on the website of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Wednesday. The company has also reported NAV per share of Tk (102.37), a negative value, while the NOCFPS stood at Tk (2.78), a negative value, for the year 2022. The BIFC, presently a 'Z' category company, was listed on the stock exchanges in 2006. Its share price remained unchanged at Tk 9.50 each on the DSE on Wednesday.
