Bikalpadhara presidium, NEC reconstituted

The presidium and the national executive committee (NEC) of Bikalpadhara Bangladesh (BDB) led by former president AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury have been reconstituted, after the party's setback following the general election, reports UNB.
The eight-member presidium is now represented by Prof Badruddoza Chowdhury, Maj (retd) Abdul Mannan, Dr MA Mannan, Prof Nurul Amin Bepari, Maj Gen (retd) MA Halim, Mrs Saima Jalil, Advocate Ahsan Ullah and Prof Abu Mozaffar Ahmed.
Prof Badruddoza Chowdhry and Maj (retd) Abdul Mannan remained president and secretary general respectively of the NEC. After a huge debacle in the last parliament elections, both quit their respective posts on December 31 last year.
The executive committee has 11 vice-presidents. They are former ambassador Abdur Rahim, Kartik Thakur, former ambassador Mahmuda Huq, Advocate Sabera Begum, Barrister Zahurul Islam Khan, Dr Shahadat Hossain, Ohid Uddin, Principal Mustafizur Rahman, Fatema Begum, Shahidur Rahman and Fazlul Karim.
Treasurer of the party is Joynul Abedin Khan, joint-secretary general Mahee B Chowdhury and organising secretary Abdur Rouf Mannan, according to a party press release
