Bike crash leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

A motorcyclist was killed and his two co-riders were injured as the vehicle they were riding rammed into a roadside tree at Sharsha upazila in Jessore district on Thursday. The dead is Maruf Hossain, 25, son of Shah Alam of Basatpur village of the upazila while the injured were Zahid Hossain, 26, and Babar Ali, 25. Sub-inspector Shikdar Matiar Rahman of Bagarcha Police Investigation Centre said the motorbike with the three young men overturned road and hit a roadside tree at Goga Bazar after losing control while they were retuning home from Kaliani area in the morning, leaving biker Maruf dead on the spot and his two co-riders injured. Critically injured Zahid was rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital while Babar was admitted to a private clinic at Bagachra, according to UNB.
