Biker killed in Habiganj crash

A man was killed as a motorcycle hit him at Bejura in Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj district on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as Surab Ali, 40, son of Sayed Ali, a resident of Tajpur village of the upazila. Witnesses said a speeding motorcycle ran Surab over when he was crossing Dhaka-Sylhet Highway at about 9:00pm, leaving him seriously injured. Surab was rescued and admitted to Habiganj Sadar Adhunik Hospital where he succumbed to his injures at about 11:00pm. Sub-inspector of Sadar Model Police Station Krishna Mohan Debnath confirmed the incident, according to a news agency.
