Bikes carrying on launch allowed in upcoming Eid

There will be no ban on carrying motorcycles by launches during the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, said State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury on Wednesday.
He said this while addressing the media after a meeting on better launch services and passenger safety during the upcoming Eid at the conference room of the Ministry of Shipping.
He added all goods-laden trucks except those carrying perishable items and sacrificial animals will not ply the roads before three days of Eid, on the Eid day and three days after the festival.
He further said the Ministry of Shipping and other departments concerned will take steps for safety and security of the passengers during the Eid.
