Bill passed to raise SC judges’ remuneration

Parliament passed Monday the 'Supreme Court Judges (Remuneration and Privileges) (Amendment) Bill, 2014' providing for increase in their remuneration by 50 per cent as 'special allowance'. Law Minister Anisul Haq moved the bill, which was passed by voice vote in the House. — UNB
