Biman becomes premium partner of tourism fair

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has become one of the premium partners and official carrier of 'Dhaka Travel Mart (DTM)-2009'.
The Bangladesh Monitor will organise and sponsor this tourism fair 'Dhaka Travel Mart-2009' from March 12 to 14, 2009 at Dhaka Sheraton Hotel, said a press release.
In this connection, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Bangladesh Monitor and Biman Bangladesh Airlines in the city recently to designate the Biman as the official carrier of the DTM-2009.
Bangladesh Monitor Executive Director Farhat Kamal and Bangladesh Biman General Manager (Cargo and Marketing) Abdullah Al Hasan signed the MOU on behalf of their respective sides.
As the official carrier Biman will offer 50 per cent discount on its market fare to all foreign participants of the DTM-2009.
The airlines will offer air ticket service to the tune of Tk 2,50,000 on Biman routes for management of DTM-2009 as one of the premium partners.
Malaysia, Singapore, Nepal, Thailand, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates (UAE) including host country will attend the DTM fair.
The objectives of the fair are to project tourism potentials of Bangladesh to establish linkage inbound and outbound tourism, to bring together travel related agencies such as airlines, hotels, tour operators, air express companies and other to showcase their products and services.
