Biman collecting extra excise duty

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has started collecting excise duty from the passengers at airports after a hike was proposed in the 2015-16 budget. The increased excise duty was imposed from June 4. Passengers for SAARC countries are paying Tk 500 in excise, the rest of Asian countries Tk 1,000 and other countries Tk 1,500.  Generally, all the taxes and fees are collected during ticket sale. But those who had booked tickets before the date are to pay the extra excise at the airports.
