Biman formally turns public ltd company

Biman officially turned public limited company (PLC) Tuesday through signing an agreement with the government, making a fresh start under the nomenclature of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited. The bilateral agreement was inked by Biman's Chief Executive Officer and MD MA Momen and Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry Joint Secretary Fakrul Islam. Under the agreement, now Biman will run independently and take its own decisions, including procurement of new aircraft. —UNB
