Biman return to winning track

Riding on an all-round performance by Nazmus Sadat, Biman Bangladesh Airlines returned to the winning track in the Metropolis Premier Division Cricket League beating BKSP by five wickets at BKSP in Savar Monday, reports UNB.
With the day's win, Biman share the top slot in the league table with holders Abahani Limited securing 14 points from eight matches.
Biman lost their only match to Surjo Tarun Club by a humiliating 144 runs.
In the day's match, BKSP batted first after winning the toss and scored 200 runs for 9 in 50 overs with middle order Enamul Haque scoring 53 runs that featured four fours and a six.
One down Asif Ahmed (29), tail-ender Mohammad Forkan (24), Tanveer Haider (14), Imamul Mustakim (14), Imamul Hossain (14), opener saikat Ali (11) and Javed Hossain (10) were the other major contributors for BKSP.
Pacer Mahbubul Alam Robin picked up three wickets for 37 runs while Nazmus Sadat and Niaz Morshed took two wickets each for 24 and 33 runs respectively.
In reply, Biman Bangladesh Airlines reached their target of 201 runs in 48.2 overs for the loss of five wickets with 140 runs coming from the opening stand between Nazmus Sadat and Zahid Niaz.
Nazmus Sadat, who earlier took two wickets, contributed match highest 79 runs off 82 balls with six fours and two sixes to be adjudged man of the match.
Another opener Zahid Niaz scored 52 runs off 84 balls with five fours and a six before he was retired hurt.
Veteran Javed Omar and captain Sanwar Hossain were the other two batsmen who reached double figures scoring 24 and 10 runs respectively.
Tanveer Haider captured three wickets for 27 runs in 10 overs with a maiden.
In the day's other match, Dhaka Mohammedan SC beat Cricket Coaching School (CCS) by six wickets at the Narayanganj Osmani Stadium in Fatullah.
Sent in to bat first, CCS scored 234 runs for 6 in 50 overs with opener Uttam Sarkar making 65 off 78 balls that included ten boundaries.
Besides, Nizamuddin (59), Nazmul Hossain (47), Shahbaz Butt (27) and Elias Sunny (11) were the other notable scorers for CCS.
National pacer Dollar Mahmud took two wickets for 46 runs.
