BIMSTEC hails Bangladesh on graduation from LDC

The Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Wednesday congratulated Bangladesh over its graduation from the Least Development Country (LDC), reports BSS.
Newly appointed BISTEC Secretary General (SG) Tenzin Lekphell conveyed the congratulation when he paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official Ganabhaban residence in the capital.
PM's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed the media after the meeting.
The BIMSTEC SG also highly appreciated the government of Sheikh Hasina for its tremendous success in Bangladesh's sociology-economic development, particularly for successfully tackling the Covid-19 pandemic, under her dynamic leadership.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that the coronavirus situation would further improve in the days to come.
