BINA arranges training for Magura farmers

MAGURA, Nov 20: The Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA) arranged a training course for farmers in the district on modern methods of processing and preserving lentil, gram and kheshari seeds.
BINA director general Biresh Chandra Goshwami inaugurated the training course as the chief guest.
BINA chief scientific officer Dr Morjia Begum and BINA, Magura, sub-centre official Shushan Chouhan were the special guests.
BINA senior scientific officer Dr Snigdha Roy presided over the inaugural ceremony.
A total of 120 peasants took part in the event.
The speakers said pulse production could be increased by 20 per cent if farmers applied proper techniques in processing and preserving seeds.
At the end of the course, the farmers were given 10 kgs of fertiliser and one kg of quality pulse seeds free of cost.
