BioPharma gets new MD

One of Bangladesh pharmaceuticals industry pioneers, Dr Lokiat Ullah, has been picked as Managing Director of Bio Pharma and Bio Group, one of the top and export-oriented multinational pharmaceutical companies in the country. The company board meeting nominated him for the post on January 22.
Shahabuddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Chairman of Biopharma, Anwarul Azim, Vice Chairman, Dr. Moha Mizanur Rahman, outgoing Managing Director, were present at the meeting, says a statement.
Dr Lokiat Ullah is one of the founder directors and shareholders. Earlier, he was deputy managing director of the company. Prior to this, he earned a large amount of foreign exchange by developing international trade with 25 countries and spread reputation of the Bangladeshi pharmaceutical sector across the world. He has been honoured with numerous awards on various occasions, both at home and abroad.
Apart from Biopharma, he is serving as director of Biogroup's other companies such as Bioproperties, Biopharma Agrovate, Bionatures, Bio Food and Beverage Industries and Biopharma Foundation.
