Birshreshtha Rouf\\\'s mother dies

FARIDPUR, May 23 (UNB): Mukidunnesa, mother of Birshreshtha Munshi Abdur Rouf, died of old age complications at her Arpara village residence in Madhukhali Upazila Thursday night. She was 99.
Mukidunnesa left behind her two daughters, one son and a host of relatives to mourn her death.
Her first namaz-e-janaza was held at Madhukhali Central Eidgah Maidan Friday while her second janaza was held at Arpara Eidgah Maidan after Juma prayers.
Later, she was buried at her house yard.
Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hadina Friday expressed deep shock at the death of Mukidunnesa.
In a condolence message, the PM said Bangladesh has lost the mother of a great son of the soil who had sacrificed his life for the country during the Liberation War in1971.
She conveyed her sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Deputy leader of the Parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury and Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain expressed their profound shocks at the demise of the Birmata and conveyed their sympathy to the bereaved family members.
