Biru Paksha Paul BB’s new chief economist

The central bank has appointed Biru Paksha Paul as its new chief economist. An economics teacher at the State University of New York at Cortland, Paul has intensively written on macroeconomic issues in different international journals, Bangladesh Bank has said a statement. Paul completed masters in economics from the Dhaka University in 1987. Following an MBA in finance from University of Technology-Sydney, he earned his PhD from the State University of New York at Birmingham in 2007, added the central bank statement, according to a news agency.
