BiZ Fest Dhaka 2015 offing

Business is a practice rather than knowledge. Students do study business tactics, formula and theories but it merely helps unless they do not know where to use these. Experience is always the best way to learn. The members of Dhaka University Management Club (DUMC) believe this strongly and have taken the step to address this issue by organising a mega event named "BiZ Fest Dhaka 2015".
With the motto "Explore to lead", this event is going to bring together the undergraduate students from a number of universities across the country to fight for supremacy in three competitions and to get a head-start in their career.
"BiZ Fest Dhaka 2015" is a platform for the business students to demonstrate their talent, a myriad opportunity to practice business tactics. It is a month-long programme that will be conducted in two phases. The first phase includes three different segments named Crack-Managers, Biz.Know, and War of Words. Crack-Managers is a business case competition where participants will strive to develop the best solutions to business situations within an allocated time-frame, typically with a team of three members. Biz.Know on the other hand, will test the students' mental capabilities by an aptitude based quiz competition. War of Words is the floor where students will get into an intellectual battle by debating about the most recent business issues in the British parliamentary style.
The second phase of this mega event will include a number of career focused seminars and workshops. There will be a CV review and a mock interview session for the fresh graduates moderated by HR Kites, one of the most renowned HR firms of the country. The most captivating part of this phase will be the session named "Career Advocates". This two-day session will be conducted by several HR executives from different corporate firms where they will talk about how to ace the recruitment process and get a golden ticket to the most elite corporate houses.
The programme is expected to be chaired by AAMS Arefin Siddique, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Dhaka. Also, Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, is expected to be the special guest and Professor Dr. Ataur Rahman, Chairman of the Department of Management is going to be chief guest for this event. The inauguration will take place on the 19th April, 2015 at the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka.
This event is being organised by Dhaka University Management Club (DUMC) which was founded back in 2006 and has been working for the betterment of the students of the university. BiZ Fest Dhaka is one of the major events that is introduced this year. "It is only the beginning," says a member of the organising committee, "BiZ Fest is going to be even bigger and better in the coming years. We are ready to take the stage by storms."
