BJMA gets new office-bearers

Najmul Huq and KR Hasan have been elected chairman and vice chairman respectively of the Bangladesh Jute Mills Association (BJMA) for the year 2008-2009.
Najmul Huq is the managing director of Janata Jute Mills Limited, while KR Hasan is the deputy-managing director of Gem Jute Limited.
They were elected at annual general meeting (AGM) of the association in the city Sunday, said a press release.
Seven executive committee members were also elected in the AGM.
They are Md Harunoor Rashid, managing director of the Al-haj Jute Mills Limited, Bijoy Kumar Modi, director of the Uttara Jute Fibres and Industries Limited, Tulsi Das Mitra, director of the Nabarun Jute Mills Limited, Kaihan N Rahman, executive director of the Pubali Jute Mills Limited, MA Rahim, managing director of the Nawapara Jute Mills Limited, Chowdhury AK Sadrul Ula, director of the Broad Burlap Industries Limited and Mohammad Zaki, deputy managing director of the Bengal Carpets Limited.
