BJMC make maiden final berth in Fed Cup

New look Team BJMC made their maiden final berth in the Federation Cup Football Tournament shocking Muktijoddha Sangsad KC by 2-0 goal in the first semifinal at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Friday, reports UNB.
This was the 2nd consecutive defeat for the freedom fighters team Muktijoddha SKC against new sensation BJMC in the ongoing Grameenphone Federation Cup after their 2-3 goal defeat in the group match.
BJMC will play the final Tuesday against the winners of Sheikh Russell KC and Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club who meet today (Saturday).
After a barren first half in the day's match, Abul Hossain and Rony Islam scored one goal each for BJMC.
Midfielder Abul Hossain broke the deadlock in the 68th minute after receiving a header from Ismael Bangoura at the left edge of the box. Taking control of the ball with a delicate chip, Abul fired the net with a fierce grounder beating Muktijoddha goalie Mamun Khan (1-0).
In the injury time, Rony Islam scored the second goal for BJMC with a header off Ajagoun Abdul Rasheed shot from the top of the box (2-0).
Earlier, Muktijoddha came close to score on several occasions but failed to convert any of them into goal.
In the 17th minute, Mithun failed to convert an Emily square pass from close range. Emily placed a cross in the 23rd minute off a Sunday Chizoba's attempt which went in vain.
BJMC defender Shuvro cleared the ball from the goal line after Ariful tapped a Titu cross in the 66th minute.
