BJMC won\\\'t be made holding company: Mirza Azam

The Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) will not be made a holding company, State Minister for Jute and Textile Mirza Azam said on Thursday. ‘BJMC won’t be made a holding company ever,’ the state minister came up with the assertion while talking to reporters after emerging from the deputy commissioners (DC) conference in the city. Mirza Azam said that BJMC has 82,000 employees and staff so initiatives have taken to resume production in the factories instead of stopping. Already four textile mills have reopened for production during the tenure of the last and the current government, led by Awami League, he told the journalists. The 3-day-long DCs conference will conclude today, according to a news agency.
