A Dhaka court has sent Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) chairman and former member of parliament Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho to jail after the completion of his three-day remand in a case lodged over vandalising and setting fire to the Setu Bhaban in the capital's Banani area, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rashidul Alam passed the order on Friday as police produced Partho before the court and pleaded to keep him behind the bars until the completion of probe in the case.
On July 30, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saiful Islam had placed Partho on three-day remand in the case. Earlier Partho was placed on five-day remand in the same case on July 25.
