BJSA meeting postponed

The emergency meeting of Bangladesh Judicial Service Association (BJSA) scheduled for Saturday to discuss the next course of action following government's punitive action against its president and secretary general was postponed due to "unavoidable circumstances", reports UNB.
On Thursday (July 30), BJSA president M Abdul Gafur, a judge of district and sessions court in Dhaka, and its secretary general M Shahjahan, a judge of the Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal in Gazipur, were sent on forced retirement under section 9(2) of the Public Servants (Retirement) Act 1974.
