bKash agent robbed of Tk 9 million in Dhaka

Muggers have snatched Tk 9 million from a bKash agent at gunpoint in Dhaka's Mirpur, police say.
Rupnagar Police Station Sub-Inspector Motlubur Rahman said several youths attacked a car carrying a bKash agent and a mobile phone company staff in front of the Proshika Bhaban Sunday. They shot driver Md Jahid, 30, in the leg before getting away with the money. SI Rahman was unable to provide details of the vehicle's passengers.
Jahid has been hospitalised. Police are trying to identify and arrest the muggers.
In a separate incident, unidentified miscreants have robbed a shopkeeper in Goran of Tk 2 million, according to a news agency.
