bKash staff stabbed, robbed of Tk 0.5m

SYLHET, Apr 18 (UNB): Muggers looted Tk 0.5 million cash from an employee of an agent of bKash, mobile financial service provider, after stabbing him at Bateshwar Bazar under Sadar Upazila Thursday.
The victim was identified as Goutam Pal (28), son of late Gouranga Pal of Subidbazar area in the city.
Quoting witnesses, police said a gang of muggers riding on three motorcycles intercepted Goutam Pal and snatched away a bag containing Tk 0.5 million from him while he was going to local Trust Bank branch for depositing the money at about 3:00 pm.
When he tried to resist the goons, they stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was rushed to Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Benu Deb, sub-inspector of Shahparan thana, confirmed the incident.
