BKB disburses Tk 792.5m in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, July 9 (BSS): Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) Chuadanga region has disbursed a total of Taka 792.5 million as agriculture and business loan among 13,079 loanees in four upazilas of the district during the last fiscal 2013- 2014.
The four upazilas of the district are Chuadanga Sadar, Alamdanga, Damurhuda and Jibannagar.
The disbursement target of the bank was fixed at Taka 745 million among the borrowers in its Chuadanga region.
On the other hand the bank has also recovered Taka 689 million against the target of Taka 646.4 million at the same period as outstanding loan from 12,348 borrowers.
There are eleven branches of the bank in the district through which loan is being disbursed and recovered, the sources said.
The loan has been disbursed for crop cultivation, fish cultivation, cattle, goat and buffalo rearing, poultry farming poverty alleviation and setting up of small industries and running of grocery and cereals business.
