BKB holds branch managers' confce at B'baria

BRAHMANBARIA, May 17: Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB), Brahmanbaria region, arranged a branch managers' conference on the bank's business activities of 2008-09 financial year on its office premises recently.
General Manager (GM) of the bank, Comilla divisional office, Mosharraf Hossain Chowdhury gave directives to the managers as the chief guest while inaugurating the conference.
Chief Regional Manager Sahidul Islam presided over the conference and delivered the address of welcome.
Assistant General Manager (AGM), Principal Office of the district Abul Hossain, Senior Principal Officer of Comilla divisional office Bijoy Krishna Devnath and Regional Audit Officer of North and South regions Sheikh Nizam Uddin and Nazrul Islam were present at the conference as special guests.
Twenty-six branch managers of the region were also present on the occasion.
In his speech, the chief guest laid emphasis on ensuring banking services and developing working environment at all the branches and suggested the branch managers for increasing the loan disbursement to agro-based fields specially crop, hatchery, dairy and poultry, irrigation and farm machinery and import.
He also urged the managers to form a task force led by regional audit officers to stop irregularities and corruptions on loan payment.
