BKB Sarail branch disburses agri loan

BRAHMANBARIA, Nov 13: Agriculture loan distribution and recovery programme by Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) Sarail branch was held at Jaidharkandi village on Thursday.
BKB Deputy General Manager (DGM) and Chief Regional Manager for Brahmanbaria AF Hossain Ahmed distributed the agriculture loan among the farmers as the chief guest while a local elite Md Khorsed Alam was in the chair.
BKB Assistant General Manager, Chief Regional Office Brahmanbaria Md Abul Hossain, loan officers Faizur Rahman and Abdul Aziz were also spoke at the programme.
A total Tk 1.42 million were distributed among 79 crop and fish farmers as agriculture loan and 86 borrowers repaid Tk1.81 million that day.
AF Hossain Ahmed told the FE correspondent that their main target is poverty alleviation so that poor farmers can change their life style.
