BKB Savings Fortnight begins

Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) has undertaken a programme styled 'Savings' Fortnight-2007' to be observed from November 13-29 with a view to strengthening the financial base of the bank by motivating customers to deposit money with the BKB with improved customer-service.
The BKB has given various directives to its 949 branches and all other field offices in this connection.
Under the programme, the bank branches will collect money from the customers to enrich the bank's deposit-base.
The aim of the programme includes creating congenial atmosphere to render improved services to
customers, improving customer-banker relationship and broadening the image of the bank.
The bank authorities hoped that the rural folks of the country, besides the urban people, would get involved in various banking activities through this BKB programme, according to a press release.
