BKB to disburse Tk 510m in B'baria

BRAHMANBARIA, Sept 20: Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) will disburse loans worth Tk 510 million (Tk 51 crore) among the flood-hit farmers in the district through its twenty six branches during the financial year 2007-2008 for post-flood rehabilitation, crops cultivation, pisciculture, livestock, purchasing agricultural machines, SME loan, current loan, micro-credit and other programme of the bank, sources said.
The bank will be disburse Tk 48.6 million (Tk 4.86 crore) through its three branches in Nasirnagar, Tk 39.2 million (Tk 3.92 crore) through its one branch at Akhaura, Tk 48.7 million (Tk 4.87 crore) through its two branches in Sarail, Tk 38.2 million (Tk 3.82 crore) through its two branches in Ashuganj, Tk 44.9 million (Tk 4.49 crore) through its three branches in Banchharampur, Tk 66.1 million (Tk 6.61 crore) through its five branches in Nabinagar, Tk 80.4 million (Tk 8.04 crore) through its three branches in Kasba and Tk 143.9 million (Tk 14.39 crore ) through its seven branches in Sadar upazilas.
BKB has already disbursed Tk 2,00,50,000 among flood-hit farmers through its twenty six branches in Brahmanbaria district.
