BKMEA compiles buyers\\\' directory

The BKMEA has published a book containing information on 25,000 buyers from 160 countries to help Bangladesh expand its export market. BKMEA chief AKM Selim Osman hopes the ‘Global Buyers’ Information Directory’, which took 2 years to compile, will contribute to boost knitwear export. It also contains details on tariff and non-tariff structures, the economic environment, air and sea transport rates, comparative pricing and other relevant details. ‘We’ve been looking for new markets for the knitwear sector and we already have success,’ Selim Osman said. The BKMEA, an organisation of knitwear exporters, claims no such volume of business directory is available in the international arena.
