Blackout mainly due to management weakness: Muhith

Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Sunday said that the Saturday’s countrywide blackout occurred mainly because of the management weakness in domestic transmission and distribution. “Our transmission and distribution is very poor, and perhaps for that reason, such a crisis happened on Saturday… our transmission is weak,” he said, in reply to the reporters query after Russian Ambassador in Dhaka Alexander A Nikolaev and Power Secretary Monwarul Islam met him at his secretariat office, according to a news agency.
