LONDON (Internet): Tony Blair finally handed the baton of power to Gordon Brown today at a special Labour party conference in Manchester.
It was the moment the chancellor has waited 10 years to reach as Brown was finally crowned leader of Labour party.
The 56-year-old Scot has just three more days to wait until he finally becomes prime minister of Great Britain when Blair steps down Wednesday.
Brown told delegates: "It is with humility, pride and a great sense of duty that I accept the privilege and the great responsibility of leading our party and changing our country.
