Bleeding humanity in Gaza

Monday, 14 July 2014

It is indeed sad and shameful that in an Israeli attack on a mosque in Gaza more than 120 Palestinians died and around thousand others wounded. Israeli attack on the Palestinians is barbaric and the whole world is showing its disgust at the massacre. The world must put up more pressure on Israel and its guardian, the United States so that they are compelled to listen to the voice of humanity.
People of Gaza are spending a terrible time in insecurity when the whole Muslim world is observing the holy month of Ramadan. This month teaches us patience, self restraint, self sacrifice and helping other fellow Muslims in their time of distress. All the Islamic countries of the world must be united and take concerted action to save the innocent people of Palestine from Israeli occupation and barbarism. Bangladesh has condemned the attack on Gaza and killing of innocent people.  Illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian land must end and peace must be established in the region. My heart bleeds when I see the sufferings of the Palestinian women, children and men. The world's influential leaders must wake up from their slumber and save the bleeding humanity of Palestine. I remember a wonderful, thought-provoking quote of American humanitarian Martin Luther King Junior that the ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty of the bad people, but the silence over that by the good people.
